New kids on the blog: EEF

Vor kurzem haben wir Euch ja die Absolventen der Design- Hochschule in Arnheim vorgestellt. Diesmal wollen wir aber mal die Desinger genauer unter die Lupe Nehmen. Denn bei all den Gucci, Fluschi und Miu Mius ist freut man sich doch besonders über kreative Produktdesign-Entwicklungen fernab vom Kommerz. Den Auftakt macht "eef".
Besonders gut gefällt mir auch die Art der Produktfotografie. So wirken die riesigen Taschen trotzdem irgendwie leicht und beschwingt.
Die Designerin ließ sich in dieser Kollektion sich von alten Rucksäcken inspirieren, die Sie wortwörtlich auseinander nimmt und von innen nach außen stülpt:

"I have used existing designs as a starting point for my own concepts and creations. For this backpack collection, I have taken apart and ‘dissected’ other backpacks. They have literally been turned inside-out. Due to the focus on details and the application of different materials, the structure of the design remains visible. You can still find traces of how it was made and constructed. Furthermore, the unfinished stitching emphasizes the nonchalant and ‘raw’ character of the design. This way, also new backpacks have a used ‘feel’ to them and give the impression that they have a story to tell."
