Where are you from?
Born and raised in Baltimore Maryland - USA
What is the name of the label?
The line is called Deluxe Junque
What is the inspiration behind your collection?
Everything is pretty much inspired by the 1950's hot rod rockabilly scene. The line reflects our style, life and love of the 1950’s. We love hot rods, motorcycles, tattoos, rockabilly and vintage design. We feel the designs reflect our kitschy lifestyle.
Since when do you run your own collection?
We started offering our collections in June of 2006.
How or why did you start designing bags?
My sister Rae, and I started making bags because we could never find just the right bag. We’d like this part of one, and that part of another, but never seemed to find it all in one bag. Now as partners we design our own, there are never enough events/occasions to use them all!
Do you exhibit on trade fairs?
We do attend a few shows a year, but not large trade shows. Our products are very well received at hot rod & motorcycle events. There are a few local craft shows we attend a few times a year.
What kind of materials do you use in your collection?
We use quality materials within our line and they do vary depending on style. Right now are addiction is metalflake vinyl, not only are the styles super cool, the vinyl is long lasting and holds up fantastic to daily use. Our Cigar Box Purses are lots of fun and no two are ever alike. We love surprising our customers and using embellishments that you wouldn’t expect.
